JOB SUMMARY - Responsible for managing Acquisition, Cataloguing & Processing, Lending Services and Reference Services. - Able to multi-task and committed. - Accountable for actively pursuing ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services and facilities. - Maintain a safe & study area for library users. Note: This unit is responsible for utilizing the Library Management System KOHA in its daily operations. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Managing lending services activities - Ensure that the Lending Services Desk is operating as required by seating at the Lending Desk. - Preparation of Accreditation documentation. - Handle lending transactions - Prepare weekly/monthly reports - Ensure maintenance of shelving activities - Preservation & conservation of library materials in all formats - Monitor and ensure the tidiness of reading and leisure areas - Ensure the security of Library areas - Monitor and review the delivery of Reserve and Multimedia services - Prepare and handle Accreditation visit - Assist the Head of Library with the annual budget - Work with the Head of the Library in social media activities 2. Conduct reference services, user education, information literacy, library tour and information services - Reference services and user education - Information literacy (IL) & Library Briefing & Tour - Provision of online and print information services guides - Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Library - Collection development - Promotion & Marketing 3. Manage & develop Library Policies and SOP 4. Manage the Acquisition of library materials in print books and e-books and multimedia and print, subscribe and renew electronic serials and online resources. 5. Manage and handle the Cataloguing and Processing of library materials (print book, print serials and non-serial) 6. Assist the Head of Library in Creating and Conducting Library Events 7. Other duties as assigned by Head of Library KEY COMPETENCIES - Library technical skills - Financial management - Communication skills - Managing relationships - Managing performance and risk - Planning and organizing skills - Problem-solving skills - Results and achievement focus REQUIREMENTS - Bachelors Degree in Library & Information Management or related disciplines. - Minimum three (3) years experience in Lending Services, Acquisition, Cataloguing, Conduct Information Literacy, MQA Accreditation and visits etc. (Preferable education industry) - A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. - Well organized and meticulous.
