Fitter

**Responsibilities**:
The Welder / Fitter’s function shall include, but may not be limited to the following:

- Carry out Welding works.
- Dismantle and reassemble Mechanical Equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of Mechanical Equipment.
- Diagnose faults in Mechanical Equipment.
- Contribute to The Health and Safety of the Working Environment.
- Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms.
- To dismantle and fit together component parts.
- Identify potential sources of hazard prior to dismantling.
- Identified, checked and prepared components.
- Adjust instruments to meet the operating specification
- Make adjustments with minimum disruption to any ongoing activities and minimum waste of resources.
- Monitor and record what has been carried out in work history or log.
- Respond promptly to problems in line with approved procedures.
- Carry out Visual, Close and Detailed inspections on Mechanical equipment.

**Requirements**:

- BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with 5 to 10 years of experience in the field.
- minimum 5 years’ experience in oil and gas industry with experience relevant to offshore installation. Able to travel to either onshore or offshore sites when required.
- Strong technical skills in engineering
- Strong project management skills
- Good presentation and coaching skills. Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
- Understanding customer requirements and ability to translate them into product specifications. Excellent command of English.
- Umbilical installation experience, Flexible pipe installation experience, Subsea lifting Installation experience, Experience with diving/diverless (ROV) solutions and construction techniques.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: From RM3,000.00 per month
