In the Technical Writer role, you’d be the main liaison between the product/engineering team and the front liners. You will consult with the Product Team to prepare technical and end user documentation for software. Additionally, you will develop and promote the adoption of documentation templates for product information. This role will function as a primary writer—responsible for deliverables of substantial scope and complexity through continuous collaboration with the Product Team.

- Working closely with the Product Managers (PMs) and Product Owners (POs) based in Malaysia (MY). You may be required to work with the Head of Department based in China as well.
- Liaising with the PMs and POs on a daily basis to determine the product releases/updates for the upcoming weeks.
- Reviewing technical documentation on Confluence/JIRA and scheduling product demos with PMs and POs (and front liners when needed) for upcoming product releases.
- Developing and preparing user documentation, release documentation and training materials through product demos conducted by PMs/POs.
- Constantly updating the impacted stakeholders such as the Head of Department, Managers and Team Leads (TLs) on upcoming releases and any changes in release schedule.
- Conducting weekly pre-release product demos with Managers/TLs to brief on upcoming product releases, and to gather questions/feedback from them.
- Act as a liaison in channeling questions from the front liners to the Product Team, and ensuring that all questions raised are answered and documented in the Knowledge Base (KB).
- Preparing and conducting product quizzes to ensure that product knowledge is funnelled properly to the front liners.
- Maintaining all product related information in the KB and ensuring that all information is always up to date.

**How you will need to be**:

- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field such as computer science or a focus on English, writing, or communications.
- Have at least 2-4 years experience in Technical Writing or an IT development environment
- Strong technical aptitude -ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to read some programming codes is a plus point.
- Experienced in presenting technical information in a live setting, such as classroom training, presentations, or video conferencing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, and work on last minute changes and/or requirements.
- Driven, proactive, and self-motivated to be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage interdepartmental communications and drive for deadlines (product demo, documentations and presentations must be completed before product release).
- Demonstrated ability to lead effectively as well as be a valuable team player.
- Growth mindset, eager learner and humility in receiving feedback.
