**A Snapshot of Your Day**:
The Welding Specialist’s Day starts either in an office environment, on-site or in a tooling facility. You are responsible for reviewing welding specifications to understand requirements with regards to welding and/or welding equipment maintenance. You will support planning of welding tasks for our on-site activities including consumable, technology, and equipment recommendations. You will work with a Welding Supervisor and a team of welders and mechanical/ electrical engineers for timely, and safe implementation of tasks within the required quality level. You will have received welding or maintenance procedures and perform specialist welding tasks either manually or with CNC-operated welding robots. Throughout the day, you are required to connect with the welding engineer/ welding supervisor, other team members to coordinate tasks, resolve technical issues, and ensure that the welding works align with the overall project timeline and objectives. Quality and HSE are the main drivers of your activities.
Aside from on-site activities, you may be involved in development activities to explore new welding techniques and materials to improve efficiency and quality in your field. You will be working closely with the tooling facilities for maintenance of the welding equipment and engage with subcontractors, welding engineers and our HQ for training, certification, and quality documentation.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**:
- Execute complex manual welding and operate customized mechanized welding system CNC/ robots with limited supervision in on-site environments across Asia Pacific region to the highest international and Siemens Energy standards regarding safety and quality.
- Review project specifications, codes & standards, welding procedures, materials, processes, pre

- heating requirements.
- Support with development and maintenance of corporate welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualification records (WPQRs).
- Provide support for documentation of welding results, subcontractor welder performance testing and certification.
- Manage and maintain working condition of welding equipment on-site and in the tooling facility including standard and customized machine welding system, fixtures, consumables and PPE including but not limited to testing, small repair and general maintenance.
- Support in planning equipment, workforce required for on-site welding activities and align with FS Planning Engineers on request.
- Evaluate suppliers welding quality for technical adequacy, provide feedback to Back office-functions and management and lead a small team of 3rd-party welders and technicians as requested.
- Participate in ongoing training, and stay updated on the latest industry advancements.
**What You Bring**:
- Certified IIW Welding specialist (IWS)/ technician (IWT)/ - Workscope acc. DIN EN ISO 14731
- Extensive knowledge (theoretical/ practical) in welding process 111/141/135
- Ability to identify correct selection of welding equipment, consumables, and gas mixtures acc. instructions.
- General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical documentation.
- Pro-active, problem solving and ready to work attitude, readiness to take additional tasks to improve the status Quo if needed.
- Understanding of relevant industry standards for Quality and HSE
- Fluent in English Language (Written & Oral), other languages are helpful.
- Strong analytical skills with an affinity to technology and innovation in the service industry combined with a proactive and convincing attitude.
- Great teammate with high level of resilience, work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating with international teams.
- Willing to travel internationally on short notice and work flexible hours.
