You shall be reporting to the CEO/COO for all duties assigned to you.
Position Summary:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to enforcing policies and procedures, which ensure efficient and effective operation of pool facilities including personnel management and training.
Employee is also able to formulate marketing plans to stimulate and increase enrolments for Swimming Academy.
Duties involve all swimming pool operations, including first aid, rotations, scheduling for teachers, public relations, janitorial duties, limited pool maintenance and all other duties as necessary or required.
This employee should have excellent organizational, communication, and public relation skills.
1. Develop and administer the Swimming Academy Springhill to be one of the leading providers of swimming lessons and aquatic activities within the community and beyond.
2. Develop the formulation of the Business and Marketing Plan in line with the company direction, policies and strategies in order to stimulate and increase lead flow, commercial opportunities, sales, and customer engagement.
3. Collaborate with Marketing Department to develop and deliver the marketing plans and strategies, promotional materials and customer communications for the Swimming Academy programmes
4. Sets enrolment targets and performance measures, analysis data and provide forecast as per required
5. Play a key role in the successful operation and the delivery of the Swimming Academy functions, involving all administration including enrolment and class programming.
6. Manage swim coaches; ensuring their levels of conduct, behaviour and attitude are in with expectations.
7. Responsible for teacher recruitment for the Swimming Academy in accordance with the operational needs and in conjunction with the HR Department
8. Manage the delivery of the swim programmes in entirety including: planning, delivery, assessment, reporting and resources
9. Promote Swimming Academy to all potential customers, the facilities and activities
10. Responsible for developing creative and innovative swimming classes
11. Responsible for ensuring an excellent level of teaching is delivered to members; that is exciting and engaging activities and lessons are being delivered at all times
12. Train and enter competitions with a competitive swimming squad
13. Be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in swimming
14. Fully support and ensure the seamless integration between the School and Academy
15. Provide information / financial reports to the Registrar/Finance Department as required
16. Ensure that children are not left unsupervised in the pool or changing area
17. Organize, plan and deliver the annual swimming events for the Swimming Academy & UCSI Schools Springhill Campus, including all aspects e.g. risk assessment, resources, preparation of participants, organizing programme for event
18. Be available to attend and participate in all School events, competitions, including weekends on occasion
19. Be responsible for the leadership and management of the Swimming Academy
20. Prepare all work schedules and rotas for employees (teacher) making sure the staff is on duty at all times the pool is open
21. Report hours, days, & time worked for all employees /teachers under his/her direct supervision
22. Ensure employees/teachers under his/her direct supervision are properly trained in their duties.
23. Hold monthly training & safety meetings for all employees/teachers under his/her direct supervision.
24. Develop and implement all Swimming Academy policies and procedures as required
25. Report on tracking pool attendance as required.
26. Formulate records of progress of groups and individuals and ensure all records are updated.
27. Maintain displays about swimming around the pool lobby area.
28. Ensure proper operating condition of all equipment
29. Handle first aid problems.
30. Maintain employees/teachers’ rotations and their breaks
31. Maintain discipline at the swimming pool facility and supervises all employees/teachers enforcing staff policies and rules.
32. Enforce the SOP of the Swimming Pool rules and regulations to staff /teachers and public.
33. Provide excellent customer service experience.
34. Maintain positive public relations at the swimming pool and able to forge links with the local community.
35. Document and reports all disciplinary problems and accidents to the school management.
36. Develop and implement successful methods of communication cross the wider Swimming Academy team and between team members, parents and community.
37. Reports will be neat and concise.
38. Maintain a clean facility including but not limited to bathrooms, trash picked up in and outside of facility, pool vacuumed a minimum of 2 times per week, more as needed.
39. Inform school management when supplies are needed and if equipment needs repaired.
