Principal Architect

**SUMMARY**

Would you like to be part of DHL IT Services? Our Cloud Architecture & Engineering team is looking for a new team member
- As a Principal Architect you are the GURU (expert) in the field. Your will acting as a product manager of the services, speaks to the business to align and gather with their requirements. You are also expected to provide a high level proposal of the structure of the services and work closely with the infrastructure engineering team for further implementation.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Architect and design Cloud services provided by IT Services to internal business partners mainly based on Infrastructure as a Service capabilities like managed Linux/Windows VMs, databases, file storages, virtual desktop, etc. areas
- Lead cloud services introduction from an architecture position.
- Define the architecture requirements; liaise with the business to create viable specifications and to identify any area of improvement in any aspect of the enterprise (business & technical architecture).
- Product ownership to consult, enhance and promote developed Cloud services to internal business users.
- Support in developing strategy, vision, roadmaps, and approaches while governing end-2-end implementation of Cloud services.
- Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in business partner organizations
- Collaborate with different platform teams and cross function areas within DHL IT Services during a new Cloud service introduction.
- Work in a tightly knit, highly skilled, motivated and globally spread team of unique IT professionals on the mission to bring Deutsche Post DHL to the cloud.
- We emphasize teamwork hence provide advice and guidance to junior colleagues is a must.

**WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE**:

- 10+ years of technology experience mainly in managed compute services based on Windows/Linux platforms in an enterprise environment
- 5+ years of experience with Cloud solutions, platforms, and technologies in Azure/Google area. Oracle cloud experience is an advantage.
- Very deep knowledge with Azure and Google implementation in large enterprise companies and cloud network & IaaS platforms architecture incl. security.
- Hands-on experiences with cloud services focus on IaaS platforms, PaaS experiences are an advantage.
- Scripting capabilities for Azure and Google platforms such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Javascript.
- Experiences with senior stakeholder management and strong communication /presentation skills.
- Experience in project / risk management and financial management (budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning) for public cloud services.
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills and ability to work highly self-managed.
- Ability to work effectively in a very fast pace and distributed team environment.
- Proven judgement and problem solving skill.
- We welcome previous exposure to VMware and Amazon Web Services.

- Must be able to communicate effectively in English for both written and oral.

**WHAT IS THE PLUS POINT (S)**
- ITIL Foundation/ Certification knowledge a plus.
