1) To ensure that the underwater welding operation is carried out in accordance with regulations and procedures, that all machinery and equipment and suitable facilities (including emergency facilities) necessary for the safe conduct of the operation are available and properly maintained and certified; 2) T to ensure that the diving operation is carried out from a suitable and safe place; that the diving team consists of an appropriate number of suitably qualified personnel who are all medically fit (this includes being free from the influence of drugs and alcohol) and to take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of those engaged in the diving operation; 3) To ensure that the members of the diving team are aware of the company’s diving rules; that the divers’ medical certificates are in order; and that all equipment is checked before the start of a diving operation in accordance with specific national. 4) To consult with the master of the vessel or installation manager about the conduct of the diving operation, maintain the diving operation logbook and sign divers’ logbooks; 5) To be present and in control while there is a diver in the water or under pressure and to report any accident or incident which led, or might have led, to serious injury. 6) Ensuring all necessary equipment, materials and personnel needed to carry out the jobs are available when needed and ensuring prompt return of same after the operation are completed. 7) To maintain the Diving gears, tools, machinery and equipment and inventory/stores. 8) Complete the work to the satisfaction of the clients and employer. 9) Required to work safely within the relevant company policies and laws and regulations of Malaysia. 10) May be asked to mobilize on short notice and outside normal working hours including public holidays and weekends. May have to stay onboard to look after the workboat and equipment during operation. 11) HSE aspects include maintaining the safety management system/manual. 12) Responsible in meeting the ISO standard and requirement at all time. 13) May be required to do any work within your capacity by employer from time to time requires including transfer between department, work for employer subsidiary and any associated companies.
