Optometrist / Optician

**Job Purpose**:

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and eye health in a retail setting
- Diagnose and treat visual impairments and ocular diseases
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and other therapies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on eye health and vision care
- Manage day-to-day operations of the optical retail space

**Job Duties**:

- Perform thorough eye examinations, including medical and ocular history, visual acuity tests, refraction, and ocular health evaluations
- Interpret test results and diagnose visual impairments, eye diseases, and related conditions
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or other therapies as appropriate
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses or contact lenses
- Manage inventory of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and related optical products
- Provide patient education on eye health, vision care, and proper use and care of corrective lenses or other treatments
- Maintain accurate patient and inventory records and document all treatment plans, diagnoses, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to provide comprehensive patient care
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of optometry and optical retail

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Optometry degree
- Malaysia or Non-Malaysian with visa or working permits are welcome to apply
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of optometry and optical retail
- Prior experience in optical retail management or sales preferred

**Working Hours & Schedule**:

- Maximum 45 hours per week only with:
Ø 8 days of rotating shifts which include:
i. 4 days AM shift from of 10.00 am to 6.30pm in a month.

ii. 4 days PM shift from 1.30pm to 10.00pm in a month
- No more than 15 days of full day shift from 10 am to 10pm shifts in a month
- 8 off days in a month

We will not fix a break period daily, so we will leave it to you to plan it out. Work-life balance is our priority.
