The **Assistant Stage Manager** assists the Stage Manager in completing a wide number and variety of responsibilities, which can be broken down into three primary categories: handling the majority of the administrative duties related to a production, assisting the director during rehearsals, and being responsible for all backstage activity once the show opens.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaise with all theatre departments and collate information.
- Assisting the stage manager with administrative tasks.
- Supervise the costume and props teams.
- Oversees rehearsals, which involves scheduling, communicating with the performers & crews, ensuring that all necessary props and set pieces are in place.
- Facilitate technical rehearsals to integrate lighting, sound and other technical elements into the performance and ensure each aspect aligns with the director’s artistic vision.
- Creates and maintains the prompt book to support accuracy and consistency during every performance. It’s a comprehensive document that contains details about production, such as scene changes, lighting cues, sound effects, projection cues & machine cues.
- Communication between the director, performers and crews to foster an efficient working environment, ensure everyone receives information and update production details.
- Manages interpersonal relationships within the team to contribute to a harmonious and productive work environment.
- Direct cues and operation during performances, may involve signaling the technical crew for lighting changes, sound effects, projection video changes and scene transitions.
- Manages backstage operations to support and ensure the efficient execution of performances.
- Create a risk assessment to ensure the safety of the full performances.
- Assist the stage manager with all rehearsal prep duties - setting up the space, taping out the ground plan, and other duties as necessary.
- Attend all production meetings and rehearsals.
- Run the deck during the tech rehearsals and performances. This includes managing deck crew, knowing all placement and movement of scenic pieces and props, and keep an accurate run sheet for all crew as well as the Stage Manager.
- Facility Care including preparing rehearsal halls before the start of each day, returning space to neutral, and assuming responsibility for safety and maintenance of building on performance dates.
- Be on site for all performances; respond to emergencies and problems with maturity and intelligence.
- Be the first to arrive and the last to leave all rehearsals and performances.
- Support and undertaking ad-hoc matters as required from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- At least Diploma/Degree holder from relevant industry.
- Proven work experience at least 3 years as an Assistant Stage Manager or similar role.
- Possess good computer skills and understanding of current technology
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- A sharp eye for detail
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different departments.

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
