Supervisor - Cementing Workshop

**Overall Purpose of the Job**:
To lead and supervise team within a Workshop environment carrying out maintenance, diagnoses and repairs to a range of equipment. Undertake the preparation of equipment to Company standards in a safe manner for use within an operational environment.

**Key Activities and Accountabilities**:

- Supervise workshop operations and allocate tasks to team ensuring safe completion of the workshop task with prevention of technical issues in line with the Operating manual.
- Ensure equipment are prepared in compliance with Company standard and are technically correct for the operation being carried out. Up-date job packs and return to the foreman/supervisor at the end of each work period.
- Carry out and ensure participation from team in toolbox talks and planning meetings when required.
- May be required to drive a forklift to undertake the movement, loading and unloading of equipment provided current driving qualification held. Carry out daily housekeeping of workplace and tools to ensure a clean working environment.
- Liaise with Manager, team members and operations personnel as and when required to ensure all aspects of the schedule of work are discussed with the relevant parties to ensure effective communication to achieve safe completion of maintaining and the repairing of equipment for task completion.
- Liaise with clients’ representatives and participate in meetings and discussions as required in a professional manner ensuring continuous quality of service to client.
- Undertake required inspections of equipment and prepare the appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with company’ policies, procedures and practices. Ensure that all documentation is the correct revision.
- Work with colleagues and Manager to complete required competencies for current and next role.
- Actively mentor subordinates to share knowledge to assist with their competency progression when required.
- Liaise with various internal departments such as logistics and stores to ensure all required components and movement of items is achieved to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with operational requirements. Actively participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, mobilisation/demobilisation updates etc.

**Job Knowledge and Qualifications**:

- Technical knowledge gained through completion of competency for grade.
- Formal technical qualification
- 9+ years related technical experience preferable.
- Team leader / supervisory experience
