Veterinary Assistant

Requirements:
Possess a Diploma / degree in Animal Science or equivalent with a strong interest in companion animal field. Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the veterinarians in day-to-day tasks.
- Comfort and restrain pets during examinations and care.
- Clean, sterilize and maintain the kennels and catteries.
- Cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining the hygiene of the practice in general.
- Feeding and maintaining the general welfare of patients and boarders.
- Assist the veterinarians during surgery, setting up the operating theater, cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and operating theater post-surgery.
- Storing newly arrive supplies i.e. as pet food and drugs

Requirements**:Must be able to work with/hold/hug dogs and cats.**
- **Comfortable holding and restraining both dogs and cats.**:

- Must be a team player and have a pleasant personality.
- Must be able to work on weekends.

COVID-19 considerations:
Customers are strictly required to make an appointment and wear face mask through out the visit. A maximum of 4 persons are allowed inside the clinic at any one time. Our clinic is sanitized regularly. Any walk-in customers must wait outside the clinic.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Shah Alam: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Application Question(s):

- This position entails working on weekends. The working hours are Saturday - Thursdays 10am - 6pm (off day are on Fridays). Can you work on weekends?

**Education**:

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (required)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Nursing: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
- Bahasa Malaysia (required)
