Responsibilities - Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project - Budget planning and cost estimating. - Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations - Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met - Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies - Allocate responsibilities of contractors and other staff - Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed - Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports - Ensure all legal, health and safety regulations are being followed throughout the project. - Track inventory regularly - Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status - Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones - Train and give feedback to construction workers and subcontractors - Always ensure quality construction standards - Liaise with Client, Consultants, Sub-contractor and suppliers for all site matters, timely issuance of construction drawing. - To work closely with consultants and sub-contractors to ensure the construction activities follow the drawings and specifications. Requirements and skills - In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles - Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards - Required language(s): English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. - At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. - Must be able to articulate a clear vision and direction and have good communication skills. - Strong analytic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
