Internship - Planning/ Buyer

**Job Objectives**:
To contribute to the Materials Planning and Procurement department in operating with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, driving towards achieving excellence. Be creative and a proactive contributor in the management team for continuous improvement.
**Roles And Responsibilities**:
1.1 To perform materials planning functions:
1.1.1 To procure the right parts/quantities with the required quality, on time to minimize production loss hours / obsolescence and to meet the Master Production Schedule.
1.1.2 To plan and calculate when the purchase order must be made in order to meet production required date.
1.1.3 To forward projection of orders to vendors in order to reduce lead time and production costs by maintaining stock and minimize the inventory cost of the company.
1.2 Responsible for selecting and coordinating of vendors from the Approved Vendor List for purchases.
1.3 To perform daily Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processing:
1.3.1 Checking availability and confirming of orders with the vendors in respect to price, quality and delivery dates.
1.3.2 Cutting of Purchase Orders to vendors on time.
1.4 To follow up on outstanding purchase orders and expedite delivery of goods send in JIT (Just In Time).
1.5 Follow up on rejected ( MDR ) or wrongly sent parts and ensure punctual return of the parts.
1.6 Formulating customer and vendor relationship and monitoring on time delivery, quality, pricing etc.
1.7 Other administrative duties related to purchasing, example issuing and sending of PO, filing etc.
1.8 To Re-schedule in and out for all the ordered.
1.9 Responsible on the Inventory Turn and Aging Reports
1.10 Perform all other assigned purchasing duties assigned by superior.
**Job Type**: Internship
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: From RM1,000.00 per month
