Merchandising Trainee

Job description:

- Sourcing and buying of new related products to maximize sales and maintain optimal inventory
- Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
- Negotiate with vendors regarding terms, conditions and margins to create competitive edge
- Analyze performance of stock and promotions to determine effectiveness of the product assortment and promotion strategy to drive market share
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing Department, assist to plan promotional activities merchandise according to line master plans
- Work closely with the stores and vendors on all replenishment activities, product range, promotions mechanics, pricing, and aging stocks
- To conduct market survey & visit competitors constantly for current market trend analysis and customer preferences
- Assist in the setting up of new stores and major fairs/ events

**Requirements**:

- SPM graduates with 2 years working experience/ Diploma Holder in any discipline
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Self-motivated, a team player with a positive working attitude
- Keen interest in retail and enjoy meeting people

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
