**About the Role**:
The role holder will be responsible for inventory management and promotions for the business. The role is responsible for contributing to sales and stocks strategy, as well as partnering and maintaining key relationships with principals for stocks to maximizes sales and profitability.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Developing excel reporting structure and process of updating to ensure efficient and timely execution for the team on weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Assist superior with budget, margin and sales planning and forecasting by brand, store, category, and country.
- Inventory management, forecasting stock position to ensure stock on bestsellers is maintained at an optimal level.
- End of season sales and performance analysis to drive seasonal strategies.
- Exit strategy execution and tracking on promotion and end of season markdowns.
- Manage data integrity for the site, ensuring it is accurate and in line with the system and website requirements.
- Engage in regular competitor and market analysis. Reviewing online and in store competition in terms of brands, pricing, visual representation, and product mix
- Team management
- manage and oversee merchandising team on daily merchandising processes.
- Liaising with suppliers on order deliveries, and invoicing, ensuring these matches with the original order placed and highlighting any discrepancies to relevant departments.
- Manage delivery of stock logistics team within agreed timelines, ensuring that purchase orders and all system data is maintained accurately.
- Maintain pricing in line with brand and business guidelines accurately for each country.
- Maintain daily an accurate order table and delivery report in line with the confirmed supplier order for all brands.
- Ad hoc analysis as and when required.
- Ensuring all orders planned are delivered to stores in a timely manner for launch.
- Monitors and analyses business performance by brand, category, store sales, sell-out, gross margin and turnover and translates insights into key selling points, or category opportunities on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Ensures effective inventory management on stock balancing, markdown management, stock analysis, stock vs sales performance to ensure stock on bestsellers and inventory at stores and online is maintained at an optimal level.
- Attend brand meetings with vendors/suppliers to align on merchandising operational flow, sales and inventory data and review of the brand for the business.
- Weekly review on product transfers, replenishment, and allocations.
- Co-ordinate with buyers on new store stock builds.
- Asist in trade calendar planning aligning all markdown and promotions and co-ordinates with Retail Operations, Planning, VM, Brand and Retail Marketing for a seamless execution.
- Collaboration with logistics, planning, e-comm, retail operations, visual merchandising, finance, for a seamless merchandising process flow.
- Orderbook maintenance on received product information and ensuring accuracy on updates.
**People Management**:
- Works with Sr Manager to Define goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective implementation of the GMG’s performance management process.
- Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to achieve the defined goals.
- Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Business Unit by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs, and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement.
- Drive teamwork mindset between buying & merchandising team.
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of 5 - 7 years Merchandising Experience
- Experienced with Business Management or equivalent.
- Degree/Diploma in relevant fields
- Retail background
- Written and spoken English is essential.
