1.1.Review product design for tool construction. 2.Supply Project Management with tooling requirements and quotes for customer approval. 3.Obtain quotes for new tooling, revisions, and repairs. 4.Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. 5.Set up and maintain a completion and progress chart to meet mold fabrication schedules. 6.Travel to tooling vendors for on site follow-up and tool tryouts. 7.Supervise start up of tooling at the Company or vendor shop. 8.Responsibility to arrange and source the tooling equipment inclusive of tooling on allotted machines. 9.Oversee Engineering changes and major tool repairs both in house and at outside tool shops. 10.Make recommendations on capital equipment purchases. 11.Participate in Mini-Improvements and training activities as required. 12.Hold tool meetings. Inform manufacturing of status of equipment, discuss tooling and equipment problems and present an open channel of communication. 13.To advise on any new tool room equipment required and report any non-functioning equipment to the Manager. 14.Maintain and comply with high standards for housekeeping and safety resulting in safe and clean atmosphere for all employees. 15.Work as part of a fast-paced design engineering team taking part in DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and other risk management events. 16.Keep abreast of advance technologies in tools and equipment designs.
