Store Operations Management: Retail Pharmacy Area Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of each pharmacy location. This includes ensuring that each store is properly staffed, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary medications, healthcare products, and supplies. They might be involved in setting and maintaining store policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent service quality.
- Team Leadership and Development: Area Managers supervise and support pharmacy managers and staff at each location. They provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to ensure that the pharmacy teams deliver excellent customer service, adhere to regulatory guidelines, and meet performance targets. This involves conducting performance evaluations, providing training, and addressing any staffing issues that may arise.
- Financial Management: Monitoring and managing the financial performance of each pharmacy is a crucial aspect of the role. Area Managers are typically responsible for budgeting, tracking expenses, and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. They might work with individual pharmacy managers to develop sales strategies and promotional activities to drive revenue.
- Inventory Management: Ensuring that each pharmacy maintains optimal inventory levels of medications and other healthcare products is essential. Area Managers are often involved in overseeing inventory management processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage. They collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely deliveries.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines is of utmost importance in the pharmacy industry. Area Managers must ensure that each pharmacy location follows all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to pharmaceuticals, patient privacy, and healthcare practices.
- Customer Service and Relationship Management: Retail Pharmacy Area Managers play a role in maintaining strong relationships with customers and addressing any customer concerns or complaints. They may handle escalated customer issues and work to maintain a positive reputation for the pharmacies in their area.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Regularly analyzing sales, financial, and operational data is vital for making informed decisions and adjustments. Area Managers may generate reports and present performance metrics to higher-level management, highlighting achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
- Expansion and Growth Initiatives: Depending on the company's goals, Area Managers might be involved in identifying potential locations for new pharmacy branches, evaluating market trends, and contributing to strategic plans for expanding the retail pharmacy business.

**Salary**: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
