**Objectives of the Position**
- Implement site strategy in ensuring legal compliance, corporate conformance, and continuous improvement in EHSS performance.
- On-demand EHSS services related to EHS Management System (EHSMS)
- Internal reports to PGD Site Management and PM RBU EHS.
- Performs day-to-day consolidated functional EHSS tasks.
- Establishes and maintain site EHSS requirements.
**Main tasks**
EHS Management System
- Maintains an integrated EHS management system (IMS) and documentation.
- Initiate and organize site RC Management reviews and Site Safety Committee Meeting.
- Support to implement EHSS standards. EHSS Training
- Define site training needs and deliver the requirements.
- Coordinates/arranges/delivers site EHSS general training. Stakeholder Management
- Represents BASF to participate in local industry organization.
- Interfaces with site management, country EHSS & regional EHSS.
- Interfaces with local industry groups on behalf of BASF sites for issue management and advocacy.
- Dialogues regularly with site management to evaluate level of service, prioritizes & allocates resources and improves effectiveness and efficiency of the EHSS service.
Risk Management
- Introduce and initiate country EHS TA together with site TA.
- Work with the country EHSS to deliver competitive, reliable, and high quality EHSS services according to site needs.
- Benchmarks the EHSS performance in the site (i.e. Initiates measures and proposals to contain the potential issues and continuously improves EHSS standards of the Sites).
- Responsible person for Security & Information Protection (Non-IT) for site (refer appointment letter for more info).
Legal Compliance
- Liaises with certification body to consolidate certificates, i.e. ISO, OHSA, etc. into one integrated certificate for site.
- Liaises with country EHSS / regional for any BASF or Legal update.
- Gap analysis and implementation for the new EHSS regulations.
.Management Plans and Programs
- Schedules internal and external EHSS audits, support EHSS audit preparation/pre-audits
- Coordinate REHSA reports for site data.
- Support and consultant role for GID users.
- Communicates incident flashes in site.
- Acts as single point of contact with site management.
- External report to local EHSS authority.

- _ Facilitates experience exchange, lessons learned and know-how transfer among “site”._
**_ Requirements_**
- _
Education: Bachelor degree in EHS, Science, Engineering, Production, Chemical or equivalent. Master degree and PhD will be an advantage._
- _ Working Experience: At least 5 years working experience in production, engineering or EHS area. A leadership experience would be an advantage._
- _ English Proficiency: Level 3_
- _ Technical & Professional Knowledge: Excellent communication and management skill, familiar with local legislation system and legal requirements in EHS. Must have good understanding of scope and function of EHS units._
