The resort consists of 499 guest rooms, a 64-acre nature reserve, the Rasa Ria Reserve, home to wildlife including long-tailed macaques and slow lorises, and home to an 18-hole championship golf course with picture-perfect views of Mt Kinabalu (a UNESCO World Heritage site).

We're looking for a culinary enthusiast, Commis or aspiring to be, required for our Culinary / Kitchen Division.

Job Summary

The Commis, under the guidance and supervision of the Junior Sous Chef / Chef De Partie, is responsible for maintaining a high standard of food preparations and service in the appointed kitchen, according to standards set by the Management. He/she is also responsible for work assigned by supervisors such as mise-en-place, as well as buffet set-up.

Requirement

Presentable and physically fit.
Has good fluency in oral and written English; additional language i.e., Mandarin / Korean / Japanese a definite advantage.
Culinary internship / certificate in culinary is a strong advantage.
Display initiative, a self-starter and team builder; sense of humour is an advantage
Willing to work flexible hours; adaptable
