Dietician/nutritionist

**Dietician/Nutritionist (RM3,500 and above)**
Location : Mid Valley

At **GEMW Group Sdn Bhd**, we are searching for a talented Dietician to join our growing team. As a Dietician, you will play a crucial role in promoting and improving individuals health through personalised nutrition plans.Working closely with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, providing nutritional counselling and designing dietary plans to address specific health and wellness needs.

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients dietary habits, medical history and lifestyle to determine nutritional needs.
2. Develop personalised, evidence-based meal plans that align with clients health goals, dietary restrictions and medical conditions.
3. Liaise with culinary science or food personnel to curate meals for patients.
4. Provide expert nutritional advice and counselling to clients, educating them on healthy eating habits and lifestyle modifications.
5. Educate clients on the nutritional content of various foods, the importance of balanced nutrition, and the impact of diet on health.
6. Design and implement specialised diet plans for clients with specific medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular issues, gastrointestinal disorders, etc.
7. Regularly monitor clients progress and adjust dietary plans as needed. Conduct follow-up sessions to track adherence and address any concerns.
8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses and therapists, to integrate dietary plans into overall patient care.
9. Engage in community outreach programs and educational initiatives to promote awareness of nutrition, healthy living to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits.
10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client assessments, dietary plans, communication, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
11. Stay abreast of the latest research, nutritional trends, and guidelines to continually enhance professional knowledge and practice.
12. Consistently conduct the online and offline education/webinar/workshops for healthy eating.
13. Assist on any other tasks as and when assigned by the superior or any other ad-hoc assignment when required.

**Job Requirements**

1. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is compulsory.
2. Minimum 3-5 years working experience, preferred in Wellness / Health Screening.
3. Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills and patient handling skills preferred.
4. Knowledge in dietary guidelines, food science and nutritional counselling techniques.
5. Able to work across the division with different allied healthcare professional divisions.
6. Able to work independently and ability to work under pressure.
7. Knowledge in promoting Wellness/ Health Screening packages would be an added advantage.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum qualification Bachelors/Masters Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics/Nutritionist or a related field.
- MUST be a Registered Dietician/Nutritionist with certification.

**Working Hours : 45 hours per week**

**Remuneration: Salary would be based on qualifications and experience.**
