**About the Role**

Provides, builds, and maintains data solutions to meet the needs of the enterprise. Helps ensure those solutions can be scaled appropriately. Independently, works at the highest authority limits on assignments reflecting the highest degree of technical complexity and coordination. Possesses a high and extensive level of technical knowledge and skills including product and industry. Recognized as the company consultant in a field providing technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower-level associates.

Typically requires formal review and approval for promotion. May manage a function as an individual contributor. May have regional, zone, or company-wide scope not part of the traditional career progression, possible peer to management job.

**Responsibilities**
- Independently prototypes/develops the most technical and complex data solutions to meet the needs of the organization and business customers.
- Demonstrates a mastery over multiple domains.
- Use best practices in designing proof-of-concept solutions that meet technical and business requirements, with an ability to perform iterative solution testing to ensure specifications are met.
- Provides technical guidance to team members of all skill levels.
- Designs and develops data solutions that enables effective self-service data consumption and can describe their value to the customer.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in defining metrics that are impactful to the business. Prioritizes efforts based on customer value.
- Can take the lead on multiple Project/Agile teams.
- Sets expectations of own deliverables of the most technical and highest complexity, communicating to a senior audience how technical designs meet business needs.
- Creates roadmaps for data solutions delivery. Can turn vague ideas or problems into a data solution strategy.
- Maintains proof-of-concepts and prototype data solutions, and handles any assessment of their viability and scalability, with own team or in partnership with IT.
- Working with IT, assists in building robust systems focusing on long-term and ongoing maintenance and support.
- Ensures data solutions include deliverables required to achieve high quality data.
- Displays an intrinsic understanding of complex multi-tier, multi-platform systems, and applies principles of metadata, lineage, business definitions, compliance, and data security to project work.
- Can take the lead on multiple complex Business Intelligence projects.
- Sets expectations of own deliverables of the most technical and highest complexity, communicating to a senior audience how technical designs meet business needs.
- Demonstrates an extensive command of new technologies as needed to progress initiatives. Influences across the team, as well as the broader organization.

**Requirements**:

- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Master's in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
- 10+ years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, Java, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell), and the Hadoop stack.
- 10+ years experience as developer with top quadrant Business Intelligence tools
