**The Role**: Editor, Q&D

**The Team**: The Quality & Digital, or “Q&D,” editing team is a global group of editors tasked with ensuring S&P Global Commodity Insights’ content meets our high standards. Q&D, which is part of the wider News & Insights team, drives long-term improvement and excellence, playing a central role in coaching and mentoring reporters in their journey to become strong content creators.

**The Impact**: To ensure quality, consistency, accuracy and adherence to S&P Global Commodity Insights’ News Essentials and style across all content, while meeting tight deadlines.

- You’ll also optimize content for social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all content meets S&P Global Commodity Insights’ News Essentials principles and style rules, sending content back for rework with constructive feedback when needed. The content to be edited includes spot news stories, features, analytical content, market commentaries, thought leadership reports, blogs and infographics.
- Ensure all content is market relevant, accurate, legally compliant and concise.
- Ensure S&P Global Commodity Insights content is presented in the best way and suggest changes when needed.
- Ensure content is optimized for online display, with tight headlines/subheads and clear graphics.

**What we’re looking for**: Someone who is passionate about news and has an interest in commodity markets as well as strong English language writing and editing skills. A keen eye for detail; A thirst for knowledge; Ability to edit a high volume of wide-ranging, complex, often sensitive copy, at speed and under pressure. Very strong interpersonal and communication skills. Digital media skills. A degree in journalism and 1-2 years of editing experience will be highly advantageous.
