Fixing guard rails and safety netting.
- Taking down the scaffolding after a job is completed.
- Setting base plates on the ground at regular intervals to stop the upright poles from slipping.
- Putting up the scaffolding poles (standards) and attaching the horizontal tubes (ledgers) to them with couples.
- Unloading scaffolding equipment at the site.
- Fixing the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable, using short 'tie tubes'.
- Laying planks (battens) across the scaffolding for workers to walk on.
- Supervise erection and dismantling works of temporary structure.
- Calculate the weight loads and strength of the structure.
- Keep records of scaffold inspections and tagging.
- To inspect the scaffold structure periodically and after every bad weather.
- To maintain housekeeping during and after works.
- To comply with legal requirements of Malaysia MS 1462.
- To conduct regular training with respect to scaffolding safety.
- To ensure the scaffold components are kept in a secured place and recorded.
- To ensure damaged components are not used.
- To ensure proper handling of Scaffold components from being damaged.
- Design and pre-planning of the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, supports etc.
- Overseeing the erection of the scaffold.
- Final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use.
- At a minimum, daily inspection and documentation of the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupied safely.
- Inspections of scaffolds after changes / alterations have been made.
- Oversight and inspections of mobile scaffolds.
- Training of other competent persons, scaffold erectors and users.
- Contact EHS for assistance and guidance in any of the duties associated with being a Competent Person.
- To ensure compliance of Safety, Health and Environment (S.H.E) policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum SPM Level education qualification.
- At least 2 to 5 years working experience in construction projects.
- Possess Scaffolder Certificate that registered and accredited by DOSH.
- Willing to work 6 days a week.
- Staying in Johor & able to start work immediately is an added advantage.
