Accounts Executive

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Account Executive (Trust Account) to join their team. You will be responsible for managing various tasks related to trust accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations. Your primary duties will include:
**1. Journal Preparation and Disbursement**:
- Prepare journals accurately and efficiently for trust accounts, ensuring proper allocation and documentation.
- Issue checks and print disbursement memos for trust account transactions, adhering to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
**2. Balance Sheet Reconciliations**:
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations for trust accounts, identifying and rectifying discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of balance sheet transactions through meticulous review and analysis.
**3. Bank Reconciliations**:
- Perform bank reconciliations for trust accounts, matching transactions, and ensuring consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in bank reconciliations promptly and accurately.
**4. Transaction History Maintenance**:
- Maintain comprehensive and organized file detail transaction histories for all trust account activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of transaction records, facilitating easy retrieval and audit trail as needed.
**5. Compliance and Record Keeping**:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies governing trust account operations.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all trust account transactions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
**6. Escheatment Process Management**:
- Manage the escheatment process for unclaimed funds in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Liaise with government entities for the proper escheatment of funds, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required procedures.
**7. Collaboration and Communication**:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including finance, legal, and compliance departments, to ensure smooth trust account operations.
- Communicate proactively with relevant stakeholders regarding trust account activities, status updates, and any potential issues or concerns.
**8. Continuous Improvement**:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in trust account management.
- Implement best practices and recommend procedural enhancements to optimize trust account operations and mitigate risks.
**Qualifications**:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree, in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or any BBA related field. Diploma with 3 years’ experience can be considered
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working hours: Monday - Friday (8PM - 5AM)
**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
