**Primary Responsibilities**
**Operation**
- Be familiar with all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relay the information to guests in a polite and concise way when requested
- Greet and briefly converse with guests in room while delivering trolleys/meals
- Set up table and serve food from trolley in accordance to departmental standards and procedures
- Uncover and present food to ensure that all items are correctly received
- Answer enquiries with regards to room service and respond to requests for additional F&B services
- Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers at every available opportunity
- Collect and neatly stack dirty dishes on trolley, table, or tray and remove from rooms or retrieve from hall outside of rooms
- Break down trays and trolleys at stewarding area
- Clean work station, including room service trolleys, hot boxes and room service shelves. Maintain department’s service and storage areas in a clean and tidy condition
- Ensure that the workstation is stocked with appropriate condiments at all times
- Report guests feedbacks, complaints or other irregularities to management and follow up if necessary
- Handle cash following established and proper Accounting procedures
- Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required
**Other Responsibilities**
- Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents & preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/features
- Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
- Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
- Report for duty on time, wearing clean and complete uniform at all times
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the management of the Hotel
**Profile**
**Knowledge and Experience**
- Secondary / High school education
- Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
- No experience is required
**Competencies**
- Good communication and customer contact skills
- Service oriented with an eye for details
- Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Must be well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
