**Summary**

Bespoke Lab’s Linguists are independent language experts who have a deep understanding of the content they work on and strictly provide only high-quality subtitles. Linguists also reflect the standard of subtitles in the localization industry and are flexible to meet the clients' needs. Malay Linguists must have native proficiency of English and Indonesian, and excellent linguistic flair.

**Responsibilities**
- **Quality Control**_

1. Conduct quality checks to identify and correct errors in subtitles, such as grammatical errors, mistranslations, unnecessary omissions, and timing issues.

2. Ensure the accuracy of translation that consists of puns, jokes, idioms, and special terms to be linguistically acceptable and familiar to the native viewers.
- **Subtitle Editing**_

1. Edit and proofread subtitles for any genre of movies and TV series in Malay to the highest quality according to linguistic standards and client guidelines while preserving the originality of the content.

2. Conduct research to verify names, places, and other factual information to ensure accuracy in subtitles.
- **Feedback Incorporation**_

1. Evaluate freelancer test results, conduct training, and provide constructive feedback.

2. Incorporate feedback from clients and other stakeholders to refine subtitles and improve overall quality.
- **File Management**_

1. Organize and manage subtitle files efficiently, keeping track of versions and revisions on the professional online platform.

**Qualifications**
- **Language Proficiency**_

1. Native Indonesian speaker with cross-cultural understanding skills in English and Malay

2. Professional to native proficiency in Malay

3. Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- **Subtitling Experience**_

1. 1+ years of translation/proofreading/QA experience, working on various media content

2. Familiarity with subtitling software and tools
- **Cultural Awareness**_

1. Understanding of cultural nuances and context to ensure accurate and culturally sensitive subtitles
- **Work Ethic**_

1. Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to quality

2. Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

3. Positive attitude and good communication skills to coordinate with colleagues

4. Able to work under pressure and with mínimal supervision

**Salary**: From RM3,000.00 per month
