Bellman / Porter Job Description Bellman / Porter - Greeting arriving guests and retrieving their luggage upon their arrival. - Provide directional assistant towards guests to designated Car Park area or Valet Parking. - Work closely with Security Officer by Coordinate the traffic of vehicles in front of the hotel. - Escorting guests to their rooms, explaining the room facilities as well as outlet operating hours. - Giving directions to places of interest, sightseeing, shopping areas and eateries. - Deliver luggage, messages, packages to guests and to undertake various other requests in order to ensure their comfort - Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for. - Follow all health & safety policies - Implement, maintain and continue to improve departmental policies, procedures and service standards - Run errands requested by the Front Desk staff. - Ensure that luggage has been stored safely according to prescribed procedures. - Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel as well as nearby attractions. - Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area at all times (including the lobby and the area of the hotel entrance). - Attend all departmental meetings and trainings assigned by the Front Office Manager. - Other duties as & when required.
