Cochlear’s Asia Growth Markets (AGM) headquartered in Singapore, the AGM region incorporates countries within South and South-East Asia, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. AGM currently uses both direct and distributor business models. We are a relatively young region, with ambitious but achievable growth targets.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the General Manager, Asia Growth Markets (AGM), the Habilitation Manager is responsible for leading and managing cochlear implant rehabilitation efforts across the region, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for individuals with hearing loss.

This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to promote optimal hearing outcomes and quality of life through advanced rehabilitation programs, practices, and technologies.

Accountabilities include:
Develop and Implement Comprehensive Rehabilitation Programs- Design and support the creation of evidence-based rehabilitation programs tailored to the diverse needs of cochlear implant recipients across AGM.- Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to customize rehabilitation plans.- Ensure that rehabilitation programs encompass not only auditory skills development but also speech and language development, social skills, and psychosocial support to facilitate holistic patient care.

Train and Support Healthcare Professionals- Provide comprehensive training and rehab resources/tools to audiologists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in cochlear implant rehabilitation.- Conduct workshops, seminars, and continuing education sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in the latest cochlear implant rehabilitation techniques and technologies.- Serve as a mentor and resource for healthcare professionals, offering guidance and expertise in managing complex rehabilitation cases and optimizing patient outcomes.
Support sales and marketing initiatives- Support the development of educational materials, resources, and campaigns aimed at raising awareness of cochlear implant benefits and the importance of rehabilitation.- Participate in promotional activities, such as webinars, conferences, and patient events, to educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about cochlear implantation and rehabilitation.- Provide clinical expertise and support to sales and marketing efforts, helping to communicate the value proposition of cochlear implantation and rehabilitation to key stakeholders.- Lead regional initiatives aimed at increasing access to cochlear implantation and rehabilitation services, particularly in underserved areas of AGM.

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Minimum- Must be a certified Auditory Verbal Therapist.- A master’s degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.- A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditory rehabilitation, with specific experience in cochlear implants highly preferred.- Strong clinical skills with a deep understanding of the auditory system and cochlear implant technology.- Excellent training and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.- Proven leadership and project management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Willingness to travel extensively across the region.- Fluent in English and at least one local language of the Southeast Asia region.
