Subject Matter Expert

**Job Purposes**

The Production and Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) should possess in-depth expertise in cement production processes, equipment, and technologies. Play a pivotal role in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production department. The SME will be responsible for training and providing advice to the Production Department. Engineers and Technicians at the plant and other cross-functional teams on optimizing processes and process improvements within our cement manufacturing facility.

**Responsibilities**:
Knowledge Building
- Delve deep into the intricacies of our equipment and processes. From quarry crushers to kiln systems and quality control instruments, become the ultimate insider on the cement production journey.
- Engage and deepen engineers' understanding of provided training and process operation and concepts through detailed on-the-job programs and practical exercises.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, digestible knowledge bits.

Performance Optimizer
- Guide engineers on best practices for maintaining reliability, optimizing performance, and identifying areas for improvement in ensuring our kilns run like well-oiled machines.
- Help engineers identify opportunities to reduce waste, streamline processes, and ultimately bring down production costs.

Collaboration Champion
- Bridge the gap between production, engineering, maintenance, and quality control teams. Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration to tackle challenges and implement innovative solutions.
- Guide and train the engineers in analysing trends, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing data-driven solutions for continuous improvement.

Quality Crusader
- Inculcate a commitment to quality throughout the production process. Guide engineers on implementing best practices and adhering to industry standards to ensure consistently high-quality cement.
- Be the guiding light for quality control procedures. Collaborate with the team to maintain compliance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Problem-Solving
- Serve as the resident expert on all production-related equipment. Train the engineers to diagnose issues promptly, develop effective solutions, and ensure optimal functionality.

**Preferred Experience**
- Proven 20 years of experience in a senior role within the production department of a cement manufacturing facility
- In-depth knowledge of cement production processes, equipment, and quality control measures.
- Knowledge of Pyro Processing Technology, Heat Balance, Grinding Mill Technology, and Refractory expertise

**Qualifications**
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: RM20,000.00 - RM22,000.00 per month
