Responsible to work closely with Business Auditor to gather Analytics requirement, identification of potential risk area and potential tangible/intangible ROI; i.e. fraud avoidance, improved resource efficiency, revenue reassurance and/or potential revenue optimization
- Engage and brainstorm with Business Auditors to understand business processes and potential risk perspective(s)
- Document, confirm and translate agreed business rules into functional requirement for Data Engineering team work stream
- Generate first level exceptions based on agreed initial ruleset by Business Auditor. Upon validation of potential exceptions by the Business Auditor, Business Scientist shall be responsible to refine changes (may include Data Engineers in the refinement process) as required by Business Auditor
- Build, publish and communicate exceptions in Visual Analytics/Dashboards for best customer experience in navigating through multiple perspective/scenario
- Keep abreast of new changes or revision of business rules and applies into Analytics library; i.e. maintenance of analytics scripts, versioning controls
- Embed advance Data Analytics algorithm and/or data modelling into existing dataset; i.e. Machine Learning for Prediction Modelling based on patterns, Clustering to identify outliers
- Ensure analytics work complies with acceptable audit standards and within stipulated time frame
- Provide on the job training and assist the Section Head in other training and development needs
- Assist the corporate assurance management with periodic reporting to the Audit Committee
- Carry out any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the DA Department Head or Section Head from time to time
(Note: For Team Leader role, to manage all aspects of the assignments, including providing supervision and guidance to team members as well as on-the-job training)
