**The Segment**

**The Role**

You will work on project teams focused mainly on general insurance industry. You will be involved in a variety of projects involving IBNR reserve valuation, health pricing, predictive analytics, RBC/IFRS 17 as well as merger and acquisitions for our P&C/Health clients in Singapore and across South East Asia.

You will be responsible for data preparation as well as producing and preparing the initial analysis. You will work closely with consultants and project managers across the region to provide customised solutions for our clients.

**Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working with consultants and project managers on a variety of insurance-related client projects which includes:

- IBNR reserve valuations
- Health / P&C pricing, analytics and product design
- IFRS 17
- Merger and acquisitions
- Regulatory solvency
- Risk management and capital management
- Developing actuarial models using WTW”s market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients
- Attending client meetings, and work on-site at clients’ offices from time to time, if required

- Work collaboratively with other associates and consultants to determine initial data needs, examine obtained client information and perform any follow-up work required to complete the analysis and deliver the project in a timely manner
- Prepare the first draft of reports for review by the consultants
- Deliver high-quality work in compliance with Excellence standards and proactively look to improve the process
- Manage time effectively between multiple concurrent assignments
- Develop a strong understanding of the health / P&C insurance industry across South East Asia (SEA)
- Seek learning and development opportunities

**People**
- Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels

**Clients**
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions for the clients
- Deliver work in accordance to project deadlines and budget
- Experienced associates will often begin to play an extended role in supporting the project manager on ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards

**Financial**
- Meet billable hours targets
- Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by assisting on proposals

**The Requirements**
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields
- 1 - 4 years of relevant P&C/health actuarial experience. Fresh grads are also welcomed to apply.
- Good progress with actuarial exams from recognised International Actuarial Bodies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, especially in report writing and articulating technical concepts
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Good understanding/working experience of IBNR reserve valuations and/or P&C/health pricing and analytics. Other experiences in IFRS 17, RBC and/or M&A will be considered favourably.
- Familiarity with WTW’s actuarial modelling software (eg. Emblem, Radar, ResQ, ResQ Financial Reporter) is a plus
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Good time management skills, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
- Able to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
- Able to see the "big picture" and think beyond the task at hand and understand how one’s work fits into the broader landscape
