Cardiovascular Technologist

1. DIAGNOSTIC TESTING:

- Conduct non-invasive diagnostic test which include Eelectrocardiograms,Echocardiograms, Stress Test, Holter monitoring, Stress ECHO, Ambulatory BloodPressure Monitoring, Lung Function Testing and other related procedures.
- Prepares patients, prepares and assemble haemodynamic and electrophysiologicequipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

2. DATA ANALYSIS:

- Analyze test results and generate reports for Physicians, detailing findings andobservations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assist in the interpretation of diagnostic data.

3. ASSIST IN INVASIVE PROCEDURES:

- Support Physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, such as CardiacCatheterization and Angiography.
- Monitor patient’s vital signs during invasive procedure.

4. QUALITY CONTROL:

- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on equipment to ensureaccurate and reliable test results.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for diagnostic procedures.

5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- Thorough knowledge and ability to implement principles of basic infection controlpractices
- Demonstrate sound decision-making in emergency scenarios based on patientconditions such as vital signs, patient presentation, and assessment.
- Required to be privilege to work with emergency cases, core competency assessmentyearly and repeat privileging every 3 years
- Be ready to respond and equipped to deal with a medical emergency
- Performs specific tests for the clients including but not limited to ophthalmology testing,Holter, electrocardiogram, etc.

6. EQUIPMENT:

- Set up and monitors medical equipment and devices within the service, e.g., vital signs,Holter, etc.
- Ensures that equipment and devices are properly cleaned and stored after use,
- Identifies malfunctioning equipment and devices and reports to supervisor
- Assists Medical Officer with procedures in the health screening process
- Directs and supervise less skilled nursing personnel
- Responding to life-saving situation, using nursing standards and protocol for treatment
