Duties and Responsibilities - Supporting of Chef de Cuisine and Sous chef to ensure smooth day-to-day operations - The preparation and cooking of food to the restaurant specific standards - Development and supervision of the Commis Chef on section - Section stock control and rotation - Completion of the cleaning schedule for the kitchen - Detailed Knowledge of the full menu - Compliance with legal requirements under the food hygiene - Adherence to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs - Reporting of maintenance issues to the relevant parties - Food produced to highest standards and to restaurant specification - Smooth and efficiently run section, tasks completed in a timely manner Requirements Education level - Diploma in culinary arts or similar field preferred Experience - At least 3 years relevant experience in similar industry Specific skills - Familiar with Asian and Western flavours, exposure to different cooking techniques, Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, Word) Personal characteristics - open minded, creative, resourceful, team player Certifications - Mutiara Food Handling Course Working hours - Able to work on weekends and public holidays Language Proficiency - Must be able to converse fluently in English and Chinese orally.
