1. Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques 2. Add details of architectural plans from their knowledge 3. Work from rough sketch and specification created by engineers and architects 4. Specify dimension, materials and procedures for new products 5. Prepare multiple version of design for review by engineers and architects 6. Design plan using computer aided design and drafting (CADO) software 7. Work under the supervision of engineer or architect
