Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Continuously review and update these strategies to adapt to changing market conditions and business requirements.
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors. Build strong relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms, negotiate contracts, and resolve any supplier-related issues.
3. Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements.
4. Purchase Planning: Collaborate with various departments to forecast procurement needs, create purchase plans, and ensure inventory levels meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
5. Cost Management: Implement cost-saving initiatives, conduct price negotiations, and leverage economies of scale to optimize procurement costs without compromising on quality.
6. Purchase Order Processing: Oversee the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
7. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. Implement and monitor internal controls to promote transparency and compliance.
8. Supplier Performance Evaluation: Establish performance metrics for suppliers and conduct regular evaluations to assess their performance, quality of goods/services, and delivery timelines.
9. Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and innovations to make informed decisions and recommend improvements to the procurement process.
10. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to address disruptions effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Purchaser, Buyer, or in a similar procurement role
- Fluency in formal Mandarin language writing and speaking is required
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and supplier management.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Solid understanding of contract negotiation and legal aspects related to procurement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
