**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Leadership**
- Support the team to administer nursing care services in the form of accurate assessment, management and documentation so that patients’ needs are being met; consistently demonstrating work output expected from the required level of competence and performance for the job.
- Represent the department to promote and work effectively and cohesively with physician(s) and other multi-disciplinary healthcare team members outside the unit, to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum.
- Establish department flow of communication ie. forms of communication, format, timeliness, content etc., to enable delivery of essential information related to patients’ assessment and treatment in a timely manner and according to company prescribed format and manner; and to safeguard confidentiality of patient information.
- Evaluate and review input or ideas generated by department team and make available resources and opportunities for team members to engage their involvement, and encourage innovative approach to enhance service quality and patient safety.
- Work with superior to identify opportunities to enhance desirable management and leadership styles that promote conducive working climate and staff retention.

**Quality Improvement & Risk management**
- Set annual department quality objectives and targets. At least once a year.
- Work with superior to set department service level targets and indicators and initiate programs and action plans to rectify and continuously enhance the level of customer service, patient care and nursing services provided by the department.
- Implement department Standard Operating Procedures and policies and achieve quality objectives and targets. Adhere to company standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies. Communicate, inculcate and initiate appropriate actions to uphold compliance with company and department SOPs and policies.
- Lead and initiate immediate corrective actions to address operating incidents and patient/family concerns regarding patient care and impacting the department objectives. Identify stakeholders, and communicate and collaborate with them to detect and prevent risks of recurrent incidents.

**Customer Service**
- Collaborate with support departments (eg. housekeeping, store and inventory, building services, clinical services, biomedical engineering, business office, wards and operating theatre) to improve and enhance inter-departmental workflows and operational effectiveness; in order to ensure achieve best practice standards in terms of coordinated plans of treatment, customer focused care and cost-effective utilization of services.

**Manpower Planning & Management**
- Implement appropriate workforce planning, scheduling tools and system(s), to monitor and supervise the unit Evaluate the allocation and utilization of staffing plans based on continual changes in patient population/needs to provide the best level of patient care while identifying savings opportunities.

**Professional Development**
- Work with Nursing Education and identify department team members training and development needs.
- Plan and set objectives and goals for department team members timely and in alignment with department goals and objectives. Plan and conduct reviews on achievement of objectives progress with staffs.
- Provide feedback on progress made as well as opportunities for improvement. Work with Human Capital team to implement performance improvements where necessary, and provide coaching and guidance to enhance competent performers’ job performance.
- Participate actively in learning and development interventions identified by company to acquire required knowledge and skills for current and/or future job.
- Ensure attendance of continuing nursing education programs (CNE) and achieve sufficient CPD point for Annual Practicing Certificate renewal.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Bachelor in Nursing
- Valid LJM Certificate & Valid APC / Valid RON
- Preferred in Oncology background
- Minimum 6 years working experience in Oncology

**Working Hours**:
Monday
- Friday (8.30am-6pm)

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: RM6,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
