Material Handler 4

**Responsibilities**:

- To be based in Kuala Lumpur International Airport Sepang, Selangor
- Coordinate the activities of subordinates involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment
- Oversee and participate in counting, weighing, and measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Review customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines
- Authorize special orders within procedural and established limits
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions, prepares requisitions and computes costs
- Determine method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; packages, weighs and marks container for shipment; prepares necessary forms such as bills of lading
- Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify
- Review difficult or complex work procedures to answer questions presented by workers
- Operate a sit-down forklift as needed
- Model continuous improvement and alignment with Lead methodologies behaviors for peers

**Other Job Responsibilities**

Safety Protocol:

- Complete all required safety training
- Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.
- Adhere to personal/ and product safety guidelines by:

- utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures
- following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
- utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tool) to aid in the assembly of tools
- Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments
- Respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalate to next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalate any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse)

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Diploma in any discipline. Logistics disciplines will be an added advantage.
- 1-3 years of related experience in material handling and inventory control
- Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations - SAP system experience will be an added advantage
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
- Knowledge of record keeping practices
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
- Skill in operating automotive, materials handling and office equipment
- Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects
- MHE trained - any MHE Handling experience will be an added advantage
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PPT, OneNote

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in operating material handling
- MHE trained - Forklift preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PPT, OneNote
