**Job Description**:
As a Lifting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all lifting operations on our construction sites. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lifting Plans: Develop and review detailed lifting plans for all lifting operations, including identifying the weight of loads, selecting appropriate lifting equipment, and determining the method of lifting.
- Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, crane operators, riggers, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with lifting activities and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Supervision: Supervise lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards. Provide guidance and direction to lifting teams.
- Equipment Inspection: Inspect lifting equipment regularly to ensure it is in good working condition. Report and arrange for the repair or replacement of faulty equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, including risk assessments, equipment inspections, and incident reports.
- Training: Provide training and instruction to lifting teams on safe lifting practices and the proper use of lifting equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure all lifting operations comply with relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Lifting Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lifting operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to lifting activities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Certification in lifting operations (e.g., CPCS, NVQ) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
