**Position Summary**

A go-getter with solid experience to be responsible and accountable for delivery of Compliance and Data Privacy requirements of the entity in Malaysia. This position will be located in Malaysia.

**Key Responsibilities**
- This role is responsible for all Data Privacy (called the function) related activities to meet the requirements of Allianz Technology Malaysia / legal entity.
- Point of Contact for the Local Management and functional owners from Region and Central for the function.
- Responsible and Accountable for functional activities, data and the accurateness and correctness of the same
- Responsible to the Management to strategically align functional activities to Global Data Privacy, ambitions and other strategic group ambitions.
- Responsible for Awareness campaigns within the branch; Managing all supervisory requirements to ensure objectives of the function is validated for accurateness and correctness.
- Risk owner for the local function as key function

**Key Stakeholders**
- Local Management: for alignment of functional objectives with operational objective of the branch.
- Local CFO and Regional CFO for disciplinary reporting.
- Central and Regional function hierarchy such as Chief Data Privacy Officer and functional Regional Heads; for flagging risks within branch and for operational excellence with respect to the function.
- Other function holders especially the first line, second line and third line holders from the branch for collaboration and synergies.
- Similar stake holders from other OE's within Malaysia; for creating synergies and to enhance collaboration.
- Consultants; to collaborate and work on projects for expert advices and create tactical ambitions for the function.
- Regulators; as and when required to support the organisation in terms of compliance to regulations.
- Auditors and investigators; as and when required to support the organisation in terms of its requirements

**Key Requirements**
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- University degree (in Law preferred but not mandatory) from a top tier accredited institution.
- Minimum 8 years in Data Privacy functions with financial, IT, Insurance, Technology, ITES business companies.
- Privacy related certifications strongly preferred including strong acumen in Data Privacy and Compliance regulations.
- Strong understanding of local and GDPR related Data Privacy rules and regulations is a must.
- High ethics and integrity should be part of the operational culture.
- Excellence in English skill, writing and speaking.
- Deep understanding of local regulatory system of Malaysia.
- Able to work flexible hours and to travel when needed. Fluency in English with high level legal drafting skills.
