**The opportunity**

The Business Intelligence and Insights Lead will conduct and participate in BI reporting initiatives, collate requirements, design and development of datasets, data models, visualisation, reporting and dashboards, including high quality data analysis and data storytelling using BI technologies to provide information and data insights for business decision-makers. The role has a focus on understanding, gathering, and translating requirements from business stakeholders and developing required models and reports in Power BI.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Conduct and participate in BI initiatives, from data collection to model building and interpretation, incl. collating requirements, procuring data, design, model, build, analyse, test, and deploy dataflows, datasets, data models, reports, and dashboards using Power BI.
- Prepare and gauge BI development timelines, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks on multiple initiatives, including delivery activities planning, tracking and follow-up with stakeholders.
- Management of Power BI Service workspaces, dataflows, datasets, reporting and dashboards, and maintenance of BI assets.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation between data sources, and prepare detailed technical documentation.
- Provide support to colleagues technical capability development, ensuring a shared understanding of tools and technologies and how these may be leveraged to support the team and business goals.

**Experience required**:

- 4+ years of solid Power BI working experience (Design, Build, Modelling, solid DAX skills, visualisation), Power Query, building reports and dashboards, up to date on the latest version and product capabilities.
- 6+ years as a financial analyst, commercial analyst, BI analyst, data analyst, or other business analytics role.
- Business/Analytics, Commerce, Data Science and/or other relevant qualifications.
- Working experience with data analysis, data architecture, data modelling, data warehouse concepts and principles (e.g. dimensional modelling, star schema), including solid SQL development skills.
- Experience in presenting analytics and insights to drives successful outcomes and change.
- Advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Power Automate.
