**Position overview**:
Are you well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize and organize production according to demand and quality standards? allnex is inviting you to join our amazing Planning team in **Melaka, Malaysia **as a **Production Planner**. In this role, you will manage the activities of the local production scheduling team to address short and medium term issues, opportunities and scheduling options to optimize flexibility, supply and cost. Your main co-ordination with customer service, logistic, production and sales person from different region that required shipment from Malaysia to 21 countries including AP, ME to ensure order fulfilment is achieved, in best way of maximising Melaka plant utilization.

What is more interesting for you to join us? You will correlate the output from Demand process and co-ordinate rough cut capacity planning to support Planning partner for 3-18 month capacity planning input and established stocking policy for finish product, intermediate and raw material.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure completion of all planning and scheduling transactional process from requirements through the ERP system that product is available to customer’s request.
- Translate a production plan into a time-phased build schedule.
- Understand the planning requirements for managing make-to-stock vs make-to-order.
- Understand the logic and use 'reorder points' and 'safety stock' concepts in your production scheduling.
- Develop replenishment plans based on demand triggers and business rules (service levels, MTO / MTS).
- Balance the aggregate demand and supply to determine a course of action that meets production and delivery requirement.
- Generate and maintain detailed production plans for locally and remotely manufactured items consistent with meeting re-supply and customer order dates, the supply review and input on S&OP plan, demonstrated capability and agreed stocking policies whilst optimizing production output and cost.
- Liaise closely with Production teams, Quality Control, CSR, commercial team and logistic to fulfilled customer requirement.
- Liaise closely with CSR to ensure order fulfillment and immediately notifying CSR of any deviations which will adversely impact on re-supply or customer dates together with proposed alternatives and properly escalated in a timely, appropriate manner.
- Schedule and co-ordinate supplementary out-sourcing of resale material to cover shortfalls in local manufacturing capability in line with Supply Review and S&OP guidelines.
- Provide support to the Planning Partner for short, medium and long term capacity demand balance exercise and action implementation.
- Maintain ERP system parameters for inventory strategy aligned with business rules to maintain alignment with historical sales, forecast, as communicated by sales and marketing and demand planner.
- Balance with business rules (MTO / MTS and customer segmentation).
- Basic understanding of 9 box inventory management logic for Finished Goods (FG) & Raw Materials (RM).
- Develop appropriate stocking strategy for FG and RM.
- Effectively manage working capital and resources to minimize inventory and manufacturing costs and maximize customer service.
- Effectively manages planning requirements through control and execution of finish goods requirements, facility planning & utilization.
- Responsible for SMOG reduction and execution plans working together with cross function team.
- Comply with all Company rules and regulations and corporate guidelines on safety and business practices.
- Understand operations best practice compliance issues and their impact on operating effectiveness.
- Ensure difficult/sensitive problems are properly escalated in a timely, appropriate manner.

**Required skills and experience**:

- 3 years working experienced in Planning function.
- Prior Planning or relevant manufacturing, procurement, business or supply chain experience are acceptable.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Broad market knowledge (increasing at higher levels).
