**Role**
- The IT Lead will be responsible for managing the church’s IT operations, including maintaining hardware and software systems, providing technical support, and developing IT strategies that align with our mission.
- The IT Lead collaborates closely with the Main Pastor, Pastoral Leadership team, and IT Working Group to assess the church’s needs and enhance its information management, data processing, and infrastructure.
- This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and a heart for ministry.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Technical Support**: Manage and administer church-critical IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Provide technical support to staff and volunteers, resolving IT issues promptly and effectively.
- **System Administration**: Manage user accounts, permissions, and backups to ensure data security and integrity. Optimise network infrastructure to meet the diverse needs of the church community.
- **Operational Effectiveness**: Establish standardised procedures and protocols for system procurement, services, security, and disaster recovery. Conduct operational risk assessments and deploy mitigation strategies to safeguard against potential threats. Formulate and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline church IT operations.
- **Digitalisation Initiatives**: Spearhead church office digitalisation initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency.
- **IT Strategy and Planning**: Develop and implement IT strategies that support the church’s vision and goal and improve efficiency. Analyse church and departmental needs, identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities for productivity enhancement.
- **Training and Development**: Provide training and technical support to church employees, fostering a culture of IT proficiency and problem-solving.
- **Vendor Management**: Work with external vendors to procure IT equipment and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- **Compliance and Security**:Ensure the security of information systems, communication networks, and equipment, implementing robust measures to safeguard church data. Ensure IT practices comply with relevant regulations and best practices for data security and privacy.
- **Budget Management**: Manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for IT upgrades and monitor vendors to ensure service excellence and value.
- **Spiritual Alignment**: Strong commitment to the church’s vision and values, and the ability to integrate technology to enhance spiritual activities. A strong personal faith, demonstrating Christian values in all aspects of work.

**Required skills and qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in IT management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Expertise in computer systems, network security & infrastructure, and systems administration.
- Exceptional organisational abilities and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
