Position Overview:
As a Confinement Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide support and assistance to postpartum mothers and their families during the confinement period. This role involves helping with daily tasks, offering emotional support, and ensuring a comfortable and nurturing environment for both the mother and the newborn.

Key Responsibilities:
**Daily Care and Assistance**:

- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming for the postpartum mother.
- Provide hands-on support for the mother's physical recovery, offering assistance as needed.

**Newborn Care Support**:

- Assist with newborn care activities, including feeding, diaper changing, and soothing techniques.
- Work closely with the mother to encourage bonding and provide guidance on newborn care practices.

**Meal Preparation**:

- Prepare nourishing meals for the postpartum mother, considering any dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Ensure that meals are nutritious and contribute to the mother's recovery and well-being.

**Emotional Support**:

- Offer emotional support and companionship to the postpartum mother, creating a positive and nurturing atmosphere.
- Be attentive to the emotional needs of the mother and provide a listening ear.

**Cultural Sensitivity**:

- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt assistance based on the cultural preferences and practices of the family.
- Respect and integrate any traditional postpartum practices that the family follows.

**Medication Management**:

- Assist with medication management, ensuring that the postpartum mother takes prescribed medications as directed.
- Communicate any concerns or issues related to medication to healthcare professionals.

**Communication with Healthcare Providers**:

- Facilitate communication between the postpartum mother and healthcare providers, ensuring that appointments are scheduled and attended.
- Report any health concerns or changes to the healthcare team promptly.

**Education and Guidance**:

- Provide basic education on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and self-care for the mother.
- Offer guidance on recognizing signs of postpartum complications and when to seek medical attention.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in caregiving, postpartum support, or a related field.
- Compassionate and nurturing attitude with a genuine interest in supporting new mothers and families.
- Ability to adapt to diverse cultural practices and preferences.

Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
