**Job Summary**:
The Maintenance Manager in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all food processing and service areas. This position involves overseeing the maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds; managing maintenance personnel; ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; and improving operational efficiencies. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods that support the achievement of the F&B establishment's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
**Facility Maintenance Management**: Oversee and ensure regular, preventive, and corrective maintenance of all F&B production and service equipment, including but not limited to kitchen appliances, refrigeration units, and electrical installations.

T**eam Leadership and Development**: Manage, train, and develop the maintenance team. Schedule work, oversee installations, repairs, and upkeep operations. Ensure team compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Budget Management**: Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget. Ensure cost-effective strategies are in place for maintaining equipment and facilities, sourcing parts, and employing services.

**Compliance and Safety**: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety laws, as well as food safety standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.

**Vendor and Contract Management**: Manage contracts and relationships with service providers, suppliers, and contractors. Negotiate terms and conditions, and ensure the timely delivery of services and materials.

**Operational Efficiency and Improvement**: Analyze maintenance operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize equipment downtime. Introduce innovative solutions for maintenance issues.

**Emergency Response Management**: Develop and implement emergency procedures for equipment failures and facility issues to minimize disruptions to operations. Be available for on-call emergencies and critical issues.

**Record Keeping and Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and compliance activities. Prepare reports on maintenance operations and expenses for upper management review.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the F&B industry or a related field.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and refrigeration systems.

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the F&B industry.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong budgeting and financial management skills.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Proficiency in maintenance management software and standard office software.

**Physical Requirements**:
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.

Comfortable working in environments that may be cold, hot, and with varying levels of noise.

**Work Environment**:
The Maintenance Manager typically works in a combination of office settings and on the facility floor, which can include kitchens, dining areas, and any area within the F&B establishment that requires maintenance. The role may involve exposure to loud noises, hot temperatures, and cold storage environments. This position requires availability outside of typical business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to address emergency situations and to ensure mínimal disruption to operations.
