### Accountant Role #### Key Responsibilities: 1. **Monthly Payroll Management**: - Overseeing payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries. - Ensuring compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations. - Handling payroll-related queries from employees. 2. **Sales Analysis**: - Analyzing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern. - Providing monthly reports on sales performance, comparing actual sales with forecasts and previous periods. - Working closely with the sales team to understand market dynamics and customer behavior. 3. **SST (Sales and Service Tax) Compliance and Reporting**: - Ensuring accurate calculation and timely payment of SST. - Preparing and submitting SST returns in accordance with local tax laws. - Keeping up to date with changes in SST regulations and advising on their implications. 4. **Financial Reporting and Data Analysis**: - Preparing monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement). - Conducting variance analysis and investigating discrepancies. - Providing insights and recommendations based on financial data. 5. **Budgeting and Forecasting**: - Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts. - Monitoring budget variances and suggesting corrective actions. 6. **Liaison with External Parties**: - Coordinating with external auditors during financial audits. - Communicating with tax consultants and regulatory bodies as required. 7. **Management of Bookkeeping Activities**: - Overseeing the work of the bookkeeper to ensure accurate and timely recording of daily transactions. - Reviewing and validating entries made by the bookkeeper. - Ensuring reconciliation of accounts is done regularly. #### Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. - Proficiency in accounting software (familiarity with AutoCount Cloud and Bukku is a plus). - Excellent analytical and data analysis skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. #### Additional Considerations: - Experience in the F&B industry can be advantageous. - Ability to work collaboratively with a bookkeeper and other team members. - Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the business. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of your business and ensuring that strategic decisions are supported by accurate and timely financial data. The collaboration between the accountant and the bookkeeper will be key to achieving efficient and effective financial management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: From RM2,500.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
