Audiologist

1. Provides diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitative audiological services to patients of all ages. 2. Administers and interprets audiological tests, develops a treatment plan, and establishes goals for each patient. Monitors progress of recommendations and treatment plans and reassesses as appropriate. 3. Fit and dispense hearing aids and other assistive listening devices 4. Makes ear impressions to fit patients for cochlear implants and hearing aids 5. Calibrates equipment, prepares related reports, and maintains the audiological suite, materials, and supplies. 6. Communicates with patient and family and provides counselling when appropriate. 7.Writes evaluation reports and daily progress notes on a timely basis. 8. Educate patients on ways to prevent hearing loss 9.Work with surgeons treating patients whose hearing may be improved with cochlear implants 10.Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge in field of audiology. Prepares and presents in-service education to the community.
