Warranty Technician

**JOB DESCRIPTON**:
**1. SUMMARY OF FUNCTION**

The Warranty Technician for the EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) Train Level 4 MRO Project is responsible for managing and executing warranty-related task for overhauled EMU trains. This includes diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing warranty issues, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards, and maintaining detailed documentation of all warranty activities. the Warranty technician works closely with the QAQC, maintenance team, project managers, and manufacturers to resolve issues efficiently and uphold the quality and reliability of the EMU trains.

**2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLE**

**Overall duties/responsibilities**:
2.1 Warranty Management:

- 2.1.1 Manage and document all warranty claims related to the overhaul project.
- 2.1.2 Ensure all warranty repairs comply with manufacturer guidelines and standards.

2.2 Diagnosis and Troubleshooting:

- 2.2.1 Perform diagnostics on EMU trains to identify warranty-related faults and issues.
- 2.2.2 Utilize technic manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems.

2.3 Repair and Maintenance:

- 2.3.1 Execute repairs on EMU trains under warranty, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- 2.3.2 Conduct preventive maintenance activities maintenance team to minimize warranty claims.
- 2.3.3 Collaborate with the maintenance team to integrate warranty repairs into regular maintenance schedules

2.4 Documentation and Reporting:

- 2.4.1 Maintain detailed records of all warranty claims, repairs, and parts replacement.
- 2.4.2 Prepare and submit warranty reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
- 2.4.3 Track and analyze warranty data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

2.5 communication and coordination:

- 2.5.1 Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve warranty issues.
- 2.5.2 Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team regarding warranty repairs.
- 2.5.3 Participate in meetings and provide updates on the status of warranty claims and repairs.

2.6 Compliance and Safety:

- 2.6.1 Ensure all warranty repairs adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
- 2.6.2 Follow company policies and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- 2.6.3 Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.

2.7 Others:

- 2.7.1 To carry out any other duties/ tasks assigned whenever necessary.

**3. QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE**

3.1 Mandatory requirements
- 3.1.1 Certificate of any Engineering discipline from any recognized institution.
- 3.1.2 Familiar with railways operational and engineering terms.
- 3.1.3 Deep technical understanding and capabilities in bogie structural component design.

3.2 Desirable requirements.
- 3.2.1 Independent, positive thinking and able to work as a team

**4. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**

4.1 Familiarity wit railway depot environments

4.2 Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interface with cross-functional teams.

4.3 Basic computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office

4.4 Behavioral Skills; Creativity, self-motivation, goal-orientation, confidence, flexibility, adaptability to a fast-paced working environment, and the ability to work well with others to meet deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
