Dormitory Manager

Position: Dormitory Manager
Basic salary: RM4000-RM6000
Requirements: 5 years+ experience in dormitory management

1.Supervision and Oversight:
The dormitory manager is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the dormitory. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring that the facility runs smoothly.

2.Resident Support: Providing support and assistance to residents is a key responsibility. This may involve addressing resident concerns, providing information about dormitory rules and policies, and helping to create a positive living environment.

3. Safety and Security: Ensuring the safety and security of residents is paramount. This includes implementing security measures, responding to emergencies, and working with campus or facility security personnel when necessary.

4. Maintenance and Upkeep: The dormitory manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance and repair activities within the dormitory. This includes addressing maintenance requests, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment.

5. Budget Management: Managing the budget for the dormitory is a critical responsibility. This involves tracking expenses, making budget recommendations, and ensuring that the dormitory operates within budgetary constraints.

6. Enforcement of Policies: Enforcing dormitory rules and policies is essential for maintaining order and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. The dormitory manager must communicate and enforce these rules effectively.

7. Resident/Client Engagement: Promoting a sense of community and engagement among residents/clients is often part of the role. This may involve organizing social events, educational programs, and activities to foster a sense of belonging.

8. Conflict Resolution: Addressing conflicts and disputes among residents, and helping to mediate and resolve them, is a key responsibility. The dormitory manager may also be involved in disciplinary actions when necessary.
