IT Manager

**Job Summary**

To oversee and manage the technology infrastructure and operations within an organization. You are responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the company's IT systems, managing the IT staff, and aligning technology strategies with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

**Major Duties & Responsibilities**

**IT Strategy and Planning**:

- Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions for business growth.

**Infrastructure Management**:

- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, systems, and hardware.
- Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of IT systems to meet business requirements.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

**Team Management**:

- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
- Define and assign responsibilities, set performance objectives, and provide regular feedback and guidance to the team.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional development.

**Security and Data Management**:

- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and information assets.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures, conduct risk assessments, and implement necessary controls.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR or HIPAA.

**Vendor and Budget Management**:

- Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with third-party service providers.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, including cost control measures, expenditure forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Review and approve IT-related purchases, ensuring they align with organizational needs and budget constraints.

**Project Management**:

- Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across departments to define project requirements, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.

**User Support and Training**:

- Ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues and provide technical support when required.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance IT skills and promote efficient utilization of technology among employees.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on IT performance, metrics, and key indicators to assess system health and identify areas for improvement.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital / healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in IT management or a similar role. - Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Good command in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)

**Skills / Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player and ability to work independent.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and have a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse complex problems, think strategically, and make sound decisions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Required Computer Skills: Efficiency in Microsoft Office and Healthcare Information System.

**Salary**: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
