Requirements:

- 1-2 years of experience in pastry-making, preferably in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Punctuality and a genuine passion for pastry-making
- Excellent time management skills

1. Recipe Development: Develop and create new pastry recipes, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining high-quality standards and considering factors such as flavor, texture, and presentation.

2. Baking and Pastry Production: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, bread, and desserts according to established recipes and production schedules, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.

3. Ingredient Management: Procure high-quality ingredients for pastry-making, ensuring freshness, consistency, and cost-effectiveness. Manage inventory levels and monitor ingredient usage to minimise waste and control costs4.

4. Quality Control and Assurance: Maintain strict quality control standards throughout the pastry production process, including ingredient preparation, baking, finishing, and presentation.

5. Kitchen Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with other members of the culinary team, including chefs, cooks, and servers. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations and timely execution of pastry-related tasks.

7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to pastry-making and baking. Seek opportunities for professional development, attend workshops or training sessions, and actively contribute ideas for improving pastry operations and offerings.

Pay: From RM1,500.00 per month
